Up and coming Programs 2024
The Younger Heroes (YH) is seeking nominations for participation in the programs, each catering to 10 families (parents and children) aged between 9 and 15, with flexibility for younger or older participants on a case-by-case basis. The Younger Heroes team consists of facilitators, support staff and health professionals with extensive experience in supporting individuals and families, through delivering high-quality, experiential and interactive/fun programs.
These fun and upbeat programs’ primary focus is enhancing individual and collective resilience and facilitating stress recovery following high-stress, high-impact occupations. The objective is to address the effects of these occupations and the stress they bring, which can significantly impact the children. The goal is to prevent generational trauma and assist families in working together to overcome challenges.
The YH program offers participants the opportunity to engage in outdoor/nature-based programs, with a deliberate focus on minimising technology interruptions and unnecessary distractions. The program covers all accommodation and meal expenses, requiring participants only to arrange their transportation to and from the meeting point.
